The Fairfield Inn & Suites Winston-Salem Hanes Mall hotel celebrated its newly renovated hotel with an Open House on Wednesday, September 14th. The hotel and staff celebrated with their guests, Chamber of Commerce, local companies, as well as other hoteliers in the community. A silent auction was held to raise funds for the Brenner Children’s Hospital and a check in the amount of $1,652 was presented to the hospital staff. Guests were treated to an array of food from Texas Roadhouse and wine by North Carolina’s own Ragapple Lassie Vineyards. Triad Eco Adventures provided a Segway in the lobby with specials on their adventures. They also provided entertainment in the hotel’s swimming pool with live paddle-board demonstrations. Entertainment throughout the evening was provided by the UNC School of the Arts extraordinary flutist duet, Donovan Laughlin & Sarah Vanskike. The Grand Prize 40″ flat screen TV was won along with other gift certificates and free room night stays. A special production by the WSSU Drum Line rounded out the evening with an exciting performance under the Portico.
